Choosing the right path to AI visibility

There is no single right answer for every team. This page exists so you can pick with the tradeoffs in front of you rather than a pitch deck.

What a program includes

The scope you are actually comparing

Agencies rarely quote like for like. This is the full scope of a growth retainer, so you can map it against any other proposal.

Answer engine optimization

  • Answer coverage map: every question in your category, who owns it today, and where you are eligible to win it
  • Prompt panel tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and AI Overviews, measured monthly
  • Citation engineering for passages, tables and statistics that models quote verbatim
  • Entity disambiguation so every model resolves your brand, products and people correctly

Technical SEO

  • Full crawl, log and render audit with a prioritised fix list
  • AI crawler policy review (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) aligned with your visibility goals
  • Index hygiene: canonicals, redirect chains, parameter handling and internal link equity
  • Core Web Vitals and rendering fixes for the templates that matter commercially

Schema & entities

  • Entity model for the organisation, products, people, locations and services you want recognised
  • Schema deployment: Organization, Product, Offer, FAQ, Article, HowTo, Review and Breadcrumb coverage
  • Wikidata and knowledge-panel alignment where the category allows it
  • Machine-readable fact sheets: pricing, specifications, comparisons and statistics in citable formats

Content & authority

  • Answer-first content engine: briefs, drafts, expert review and update cadence
  • Original research, benchmarks and data studies designed to be cited
  • Digital PR and source placement on publications models already retrieve from
  • Review, comparison and directory presence for commercial prompts

Three questions we get asked

Can we run this alongside an existing SEO agency?

Yes, and most clients do. The two programs share a technical foundation but measure different outcomes. We hand your SEO partner the eligibility fixes that help both, and keep citation engineering separate.

Do we need a visibility tool as well?

Not to start. Dashboards are useful once a program is running, but reporting a problem is not the same as fixing it. Our monthly panel already reports the metrics a tool would show, alongside the work that moved them.

When does in-house make more sense?

If you already have a specialised SEO and content team with capacity for entity work and digital PR, an in-house program can work. We are most useful when the category is competitive, the retrieval layer is broken, or nobody owns the answer layer end to end.

No lock-in audit
